DAILY ACTIVITIES & TRIP SUMMARY I will meet you at the airport in Windhoek at 1400 hours and take you to the Hilltop where you can freshen up and relax by the pool for the afternoon and we will have a rider’s brief over a barbeque in the early evening. The following morning we will have breakfast around 0730 and depart at 0900 for Botswana . We will be in Ghanzi at around 1600hrs after our border crossing. We are now in the middle of San bushman country where we can do an optional tour of a San village and return to the lodge for dinner. Today will be another early breakfast at 0700 and we will want to leave by 0830 to ensure we are not riding through the heat of the day, we will stop in Maun for lunch. We will arrive around 1500hrs at Nata and check in and take a refreshing swim. Here we can take another optional three hour sunset tour in the Nata salt pan, returning to the lodge for a late dinner on the deck. Today we will head north to Kasane along a road that skirts the Chobe National Park so it is possible that we will see a variety of wildlife on the road as we head through this amazing area. We will be at the lodge shortly after lunch. This afternoon we will board the Kingfisher boat for a three hour boat cruise along the Chobe River where we will see a variety of wildlife and a chance to see herds of elephants coming to the water to cool off. Dinner at the lodge is smorgasbord of culinary delights able to please the most discerning of appetites. The following morning we will do a game drive in the Chobe national Park with the lodge’s vehicle and return to the lodge at 1000hrs for breakfast. We will have the rest of the day free or take in an additional activity and there are a number to choose from including a trip to Zambia to view the Victoria Falls . This afternoon we will have another river cruise on the Chobe River and dinner again at the lodge. The next morning we will have breakfast and I will take you to Kasane airport for your flight into the Okavango Delta where you will stay for the next two nights. Here you can take in as many activities as you wish, from game drives, game walks, makorro rides, (dug out canoes with polers). I will meet you on your return to Kasane where we will leave Botswana and head into Namibia through the famous Caprivi Strip . This is a national park with a highway running through it and the chances of seeing elephants by the side of the road are not uncommon. We will arrive at the lodge by sunset. Dinner tonight is a barbeque by the banks of the Okavango River and our accommodation is tree houses set along the banks with their own private decks and ensuite bathrooms. After a delicious outside breakfast we will leave for Etosha National Park , stopping in Rundu for lunch and a swim. We will arrive around sunset and have dinner at the lodge. We will be here for three nights and will have an early morning game drive and then the rest of the day to ride and explore the area. The next day we will be able to do some more riding in the area and a late afternoon game drive. After breakfast on the final morning we will head to Windhoek and our final meal at Joe’s Beer garden. I will take you to the airport after breakfast for your flight home.
